Program Name: U6 Mite (formerly Mite-ADM or Mini-Mites)

Ice Time:  Multiple sixty minute practices including skills clinics with 1 cross-ice game per week


Where: Practices held at Groton School or Lawrence Academy - Groton, MA.   GAMES - Local Rinks in Mass Hockey District 8.


Ages:  6 and under.

Tuition:  for the 2017-2018 season $800 - tuition is subject to change each season.


Schedule: October – March


Registration Open: April to Mid-October.

Evaluations: We do not have try-outs or evaluations for U6 Mite - any player who registers for this program will be placed onto a team. 

Description:  Our U6 Mite program is ideal for graduates of the Learn To Skate program, or for those children with some skating experience who want to begin to learn to play hockey, or have completed 1 year of U6 Mites (formerly Mite-ADM).   The program focuses on skating (stopping, turning, skating backwards) and hockey (stick handling, passing, shooting) skills.  Games are cross-ice.  Emphasis is on teaching the fundamentals of the game of hockey.     The foundation of the program is based on USA Hockey's American Development Model.


Required Equipment:  Full hockey gear including HECC Approved Helmet with face mask, hockey pants, elbow & knee pads, shoulder pads, hockey skates, hockey gloves, and hockey stick.
